What to check before choosing vinyl planks
Check wear layer, indentation resistance, slip performance, rolling loads and compatibility with your cleaning chemicals. Adhesive selection and subfloor preparation matter as much as the finish.
Plank joints are not equivalent to a heat-welded sheet vinyl system. Where your clinical brief requires welded seams or a continuous finish, consider sheet vinyl instead.
Supply, preparation and installation
Send Premrest your floor plan, room schedule and preferred finishes. We can discuss samples, product suitability, installation scope and the work needed to prepare the subfloor. Include expected foot traffic, wheeled equipment and your cleaning regime so these are considered in the selection.
The quote should cover more than the material. Existing floor removal, substrate preparation, moisture testing, adhesives, transitions and access arrangements all influence cost and program. For an operating medical practice, identify which areas can close and when they must return to use.
Care after handover
Use the chosen manufacturer’s cleaning and maintenance instructions. Confirm which chemicals and equipment are suitable, how long to wait before cleaning or moving furniture, and any warranty conditions. Premrest also provides commercial floor care through its main website.
